The President of the Siem Reap Tourism Club said that pagodas are a tourism product that foreign tourists are interested in, in addition to the country’s ancient temples.

According to Philip Kao, President of the club, foreign tourists often visited nine pagodas which are designated as tourist pagodas in Siem Reap city, Siem Reap.

The president of the club said that when the Royal Government of Cambodia fully reopened the country, the country began to see an influx of tourists visiting the country, especially in Siem Reap.

Currently, Siem Reap International Airport receives 10 to 12 flights a day, an increase of about 20 to 25 percent compared to 2019. The main destination of all foreign tourists is Angkor Wat and other ancient temples, Kao said. Apart from this, tourists also always want to learn about the culture, traditions and customs of the Khmer people in the villages and get to know the Buddhism beliefs of the nation.

Kao said that about 100 multi-ethnic tourists visited Wat Baray Mohan Ti Ratanaream (Wat Svay Romiet), a tourist pagoda. The pagoda is located in Banteay Chheu village, Sangkat Teuk Vil, Siem Reap city.
