Neak Pean Temple sees increase in visitors following construction of bridge
The new bridge at Neak Pean Temple has started to open for tourists and is attracting more tourists to visit the ancient temple.
Vichet, a resident of Banteay Meanchey, said that this was the first time he had brought his family to visit Neak Pean temple because he had seen a new bridge that had just been built.
Seng Kun, a resident from Prasat Bakong district, he revealed that after receiving information about the repair of the new bridge in front of Neak Pean temple and it being open for tourists to cross, he decided to visit Neak Pean temple.
Many are expecting more tourists to visit the temple due to the construction of the new bridge. The efforts are done as part of the mission to increase tourists in Siem Reap.
The Chey Tadak or Neak Poan baray (northern baray) was built during the reign of King Jayavarman VII, almost a millennium ago.
