The MoU was signed in Siem Reap province on Mar. 23, focusing on two main points – waste management and go-green in the Angkor complex.

The cooperation will contribute to improving the beauty, sanitation, and environment in the Angkor resort, said Long Kosal, Deputy Director General and Spokesperson for ANA.

“The cooperation between the APSARA National Authority and AJE will join in the work of protection of the World Heritage of Humanity,” he said.

In the past 30 years, activities of the APSARA National Authority in the maintenance of Angkor have been participated by all parties, both public and private, as well as local communities, he said.

Cooperation for this green tourism project will include support for joint green campaign promotion and waste management projects, said Mr. Fabian Daniel Mosquera Vera, Managing Director of AJE ASEAN. “It is a strategy to bring back the pride of a World Heritage Site and bring it back to life,” he underlined.
