Phnom Kleng Mountain
Wat Phnom Kleng is one of the monasteries since 18th century, and built in the 1950s by a famous local monk. Thanks to the generous support from the people, the monastery has become a popular place in Takeo province. On the weekends, locals and non locals go there to pray for lucky and happiness. What makes Phnom Kleng special scenery is that pagoda were surrounded by rice-fields. Thus, the pagoda offers natural beauty, fresh air and tranquility. If one is bold enough to climb to the peak of the mountain, the summit provides panoramic view of the countryside. Phnom Kleng is located in the Prey Slek commune of Traing district, Takeo province, at a distance 100 km from Phnom Penh. Travel along Road No. 2 until you arrive at Takeo Town, straight along away about 15 km.
